Resolution Check Off- Opened Up Our Eyes

I'm so excited & I just can't hide it!
Cirque Du Soleil

That way straight on~ EXCITED.

Flags representing each talented performer

All around the world

It's a small world after all :)

Of course & without any questions asked, cameras were forbidden to use inside the show. Pictures outside were simply good enough!

Our memories from Cirque Du Soleil's "Totem" will forever be remembered

We LOVEd it.

And to add onto our reminders of this resolution, we had to get this tilted cup

In this fine year- 2013, I had one resolution which I was quite proud of. Then this resolution of seeing Cirque Du Soleil is considered the most a.m.a.z.i.n.g of them all.

Seeing a Cirque Du Soleil show was a long time coming! Ever since seeing advertisements for their most famous show- "O", I kept my eye out for it, in case it was finally coming here to NY! AND when I found out that there was a show coming to NY, I quickly grabbed this opportunity. It wasn't "O", it was a new show called, "Totem". It didn't matter that it wasn't "O" because it wasn't like I was going to go to Las Vegas (which is where it's running) anytime soon and as long as it was a production from Cirque Du Soleil, I was more than happy! So, we got our tickets as 1 of the ways to celebrate our yearly anniversary of being together in the early middle of this year.

Boy, were we in for a surprise! I mean we both already knew that it was going to be different than any show we've seen & that it was definitely going to be entertaining… but we were really blown away. This show opened up our eyes to all the other talents from the rest of the world. Something that we sometimes tend to forget because we're so warped up in our own lives & society. We think that the usual celebrities we see of actors or singers on TV are the talents we enjoy sticking to & watching. Then coming to this 1 show, we're taken back because there's so much more to take in & see from everywhere else.

Entering the tent of Cirque Du Soleil was really like those magical movies where people stepped into a tent to find an extraordinary & unreal world waiting for them. Enchanting but also mysterious characters, music & settings were being unfolded right in front of our eyes. All with actions of swinging carefreeness & pumping movements that kept us at the edge of our seats the entire time… We were so entranced with our eyes wide, mouths unconsciously open and bodies tensed with thrill & excitement. A show that you never wanted to end or go by too fast and when it was sadly done, we hold onto our memories to playback the fascinations.

"Totem" completely captivated & introduced us to the world of Cirque Du Soleil. It was a priceless opportunity (sooooo much more than the price of our tickets) that encouraged us to step out of the box & experience a new dimension of stunning wonders.
Next year, there's another brand new show called, Amaluna! Do I hear another resolution check off?

Lastly, the cherry on top for this post! You can watch a little snippet of "Totem" from the video below that was aired as a tiny preview on Wendy William's show. It was 1 of my absolute favorite parts & the whole time I was watching this… I kept thinking to myself, "How was this possible, is this really happening, and just incredible". A very romantic scene but also a bit erotic ;)

  13. What a great resolution to keep and enjoy! I'm so jealous, I've only been to one Cirque du Soleil show before during the summer and it wasn't the one I wanted to see ("O," "Zarkana," or "LOVE"-- the Beatles one). My boyfriend forgot to book our complimentary show tickets early so by the time we went on our trip to Vegas, we only could get tickets for the 'adult' Cirque show called Zumanity, which included many erotic jokes and nudity haha. It was still wonderful but I really wanted to see the larger productions more!
